This August, THG LABS is proud to support the Sun Protection Scientist Workshops at the Catalyst Discovery Centre in Cheshire, a hands-on summer experience designed to help young people understand the science behind sun safety.

As a full-service manufacturer and product development partner to global skincare, suncare, body care and haircare brands, THG LABS is committed to advancing not only scientific innovation, but also public understanding of how that science impacts our daily lives. 

As our Account Head of R&D, Roger Rowson explains, “We believe education and innovation go hand in hand. Supporting initiatives like this helps spark curiosity in young minds and connects the science behind skincare to everyday routines like putting on sunscreen before heading outside.”

To help families visualise the importance of proper sun protection, the centre will also feature a UV photo booth, which reveals areas of missed application and demonstrates the invisible power of UV rays. The booth will be available for the duration of the programme and is opena to all Catalyst visitors. 

This initiative forms part of Catalyst’s wider mission to make STEM learning inclusive and engaging for all children. THG LABS is one of several industry sponsors helping to make the programme possible. We’re passionate about bridging the gap between the lab and real life.
