What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
We don’t have a fixed approach to MOQs because every project is unique. Our extensive facilities and equipment — from hand-filling lines to high-speed automated systems — gives us excellent flexibility. Please contact us to discuss your project and we can recommend the most efficient production route based on your formulation, packaging, and commercial goals
Who owns the formulation IP when working with THG LABS?
This is discussed in detail during project onboarding to ensure full transparency and mutual understanding. Our goal from the outset is to help you build, own, and grow your brand with confidence.
How long does product development take from concept to launch?
Projects tend to move from concept to production within 6–12 months. We will work closely with you to accelerate timelines where speed-to-market is key.
What information do you need to start a project?
Typically, we begin with an immersion phase to understand your brand brief including your target market, claims, desired format, and launch timelines. Our Product Team then guides you through formulation, packaging, regulatory, testing, and production phases.

Does THG LABS manufacture natural or organic certified beauty products?
Yes. We create ISO natural formulations and can support brands seeking Certified COSMOS Organic, COSMOS Natural and RSPO certification. Our chemists and regulatory specialists ensure each formula meets the required benchmarks for natural origin, traceability, and sustainability without compromising on performance or sensory quality.
Is THG LABS FDA-registered for Manufacturing US OTC Sunscreens?
Yes. THG LABS manufacturing site registered with the FDA for the manufacture and packing of OTC Sunscreen products. We operate strict CGMP procedures and ensure all OTC products are developed, tested and produced in compliance of OTC Monograph requirements. Our Regulatory and Quality teams ensure all SPF formulations meet the latest standards, with independent testing and documentation to substantiate SPF label claims to support US and global launches.

Controlled studies assess how products respond to changes in temperature, light, and humidity, helping us predict any variation in texture, colour, scent, or performance. These tests confirm formulation robustness, validate packaging and transit compatibility, and ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations to give brands complete confidence in the finished product.
How does THG LABS scale formulations from lab to full production?
Our pilot plant bridges the gap between bench development and full-scale manufacture, enabling us to refine formulas, validate process parameters, and anticipate production variables early. By simulating real-world conditions at pilot scale, we ensure formulations transfer smoothly and efficiently from beaker to vessel — maintaining texture, stability, and performance consistency from first batch to major production runs.
MANUFACTURING & PRODUCTION
What manufacturing capabilities does THG LABS offer?
We provide full-service manufacturing including development, compounding, filling, packing, and quality assurance. Our automated lines handle a wide range of viscosities and formats from creams and serums to balms, sticks and solids, as well as an ATEX rated line for high-volume fragrance or alcohol filling.
THG LABS UK factory is also registered with the US FDA which enables us to manufacture OTC Sunscreen Drug Products for the US market.
Can THG LABS handle both small-batch and large-scale manufacturing?
Yes - our facilities and flexible production model allows us to support everything from pilot runs for new product testing to large-scale production for global distribution.
What quality standards do you follow?
We operate to CGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and hold multiple ISO certifications. Every batch undergoes rigorous quality control testing to ensure consistency, stability, and compliance.

At THG LABS, we use a built-in carbon data modelling system (in partnership with Askor) to simulate material options and calculate the full lifecycle CO₂e footprint of packaging — from sourcing, manufacturing, transit, to end-of-life. We also produce Micropoints Scores reflecting ecotoxicity, land-use, and respiratory impact, and align assessments to industry standards like SEDEX and EcoVadis to deliver actionable, quantifiable sustainability insights.
