Connecting with the Cosmetic Science Community
Earlier this week, colleagues from across our Technical Teams and Marketing Team attended SCS Formulate, the UK’s leading event for formulation, raw material innovation and cosmetic science. Held on 11 and 12 November, the show brought together formulators, scientists, manufacturers and suppliers from across the beauty and personal care sector.
SCS Formulate is an important date for our Innovation, R&D and Product teams, offering access to the latest ingredient launches, new formulation technologies, sustainability-led materials and advances in testing and claims substantiation. It’s a valuable opportunity to stay close to the scientific developments shaping future product pipelines and to meet with suppliers and partners who support our work across skincare, suncare, haircare, bodycare and fragrance.
Insights and Innovations Influencing Future Formulation Work
Our teams explored a broad range of new materials and technologies, including next-generation actives, novel delivery and encapsulation systems, sensorial and texture modifiers, and emerging biotech-derived ingredients.
Alongside the exhibition, our colleagues attended expert-led seminars covering microbiome science, fragrance trends, encapsulation advances, SPF innovation, biotech materials and new formulation trends. These sessions help keep our teams informed and inspired, while strengthening the scientific foundations behind the work we do for customers.
Building Stronger Partnerships
Events like SCS Formulate are also an important space for collaboration. Meeting suppliers face-to-face allows us to discuss upcoming launches, explore bespoke ingredient development opportunities and strengthen joint innovation pipelines that feed directly into customer projects.
